Èȵ㱬ÁÏÈë¿Ú names new Dean of Business and Experiential Education
Vidyanidhi Rege, from Baltimore, Md., has been named Èȵ㱬ÁÏÈë¿Ú’s Dean of Business and Experiential Education. Vinnie is an accomplished post-secondary educator and an administrator who brings with him more than 15 years of extensive pedagogical experience.
He comes to Bristol after working as Director of the Center for Hospitality and Culinary Studies at Howard Community College in Columbia, Md., and as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pa.
Vinnie brings a unique combination of skills to this academic area including his backgrounds in business, accounting, hospitality, culinary and internship development. He begins his new role at Bristol on May 3, 2020.
Vinnie earned his Bachelor of Commerce in accounting at the University of Mumbai (formally known as the University of Bombay) in Mumbai, India.; his Bachelor of Science in hotel, restaurant & catering management from the Baltimore International College in Baltimore, Md.; and his Master of Science in service management, with a concentration in information technology, from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. He is currently completing his Doctor of Philosophy in hospitality management from the Department of Apparel, Events and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
He was named Howard Community College’s Director of the Center for Hospitality and Culinary Studies in 2005. During this time, Vinnie provided leadership for the development of face-to-face and online curriculum, international exchange and internship programs, industry partners and outcome assessments for courses and programs, among other duties. He has also served as an instructor at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa.; Excelsior College in Albany, N.Y.; and the Baltimore International College in Baltimore, Md.
Vinnie brings vast experience in accreditation policies having served as a Chair of
the Accreditation Commission for Programs in Hospitality Administration (ACPHA). He
is recognized as a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), Certified Hospitality Educator
(CHE) and Scaled Scrum Master (SSM). Vinnie has also received awards from several
industry organizations such as the Restaurant Association of Maryland; The Council
on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education (CHRIE) and was a recipient of the
Outstanding Alumnus award from his alma mater, the Rochester Institute of Technology.
