热点爆料入口 students honored for academic achievement during Virtual Phi Theta Kappa Recognition Week鈥鈥
This week, the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC) honored Bristol Community College students, Hannah Davignon of Acushnet, Lindsay Dias of Fall River,鈥痑苍诲鈥疨补耻濒鈥Rhuda of Dartmouth, for their induction into the 2020 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) All-Massachusetts Academic Team.
Bristol鈥檚 students were celebrated amongst the highest academic achieving students from the state鈥檚 15-member community college system, through a virtual PTK Community College Excellence Week on MACC鈥檚 social media campaign. From Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1, 2020, MACC will highlight the student members of the All-Massachusetts Academic Team for their outstanding academic achievement and exemplary student service.

Traditionally, a celebratory ceremony is held at the Massachusetts State House. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Phi Theta Kappa All-Massachusetts Academic Team ceremony originally scheduled for April 8, 2020, was cancelled.鈥
鈥Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society of two-year鈥colleges and鈥痟as recognized and encouraged scholarship among community college students for鈥痬ore than 100鈥痽ears while promoting the academic integrity of the associate degree program. Students with grade point averages of 3.5 or higher are invited to join Phi Theta Kappa.鈥
