Joe DiMariaJoe DiMaria, of Bridgewater, MA, has been named Associate Vice President, Student Success at 热点爆料入口. Joe comes to Bristol after serving as Dean of Students at Massasoit Community College.

He received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire. He has earned his Master of Arts in Teaching (secondary English education) from Boston University in Boston, and his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston and is in process of completing his Doctor of Education in community college leadership from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Md.

In this new role, Joe will provide strategic vision, leadership and direction to Bristol鈥檚 critical initiatives focused on student success, enrollment, persistence, retention, student services, equity and inclusion. He will assist Bristol in developing a college going culture that attracts, enrolls and retains a culturally and socio-economically diverse community of students, faculty and staff and facilitate student engagement and success.

As Associate Vice President, Student Success, Joe will lead Bristol's areas of Student & Family Engagement, Career Services, Athletics & Recreation, Student Wellness (Counseling & Health Services), Disability Services, Student Conduct, Academic Advising, TRIO and provide support to all other departments within the SSEM division. He will begin his new role at 热点爆料入口 on October 25, 2021.

Joe became Massasoit Community College鈥檚 Dean of Students in 2021. He has also served as the Associate Dean of Students from 2019 to 2021 and Director of Student Rights & Responsibilities from 2017 to 2019. In addition to his roles at Massasoit Community College, he previously served as Director of Housing and Residence Life and Interim Director of New Student Programs at the University of Massachusetts Boston as well as Assistant Director of Student Activities at Curry College in Milton. Joe also assisted in institutional recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina in his role as Area Director at Tulane University, in New Orleans, La.

He is a nationally-recognized expert in student conduct administration, particularly at community colleges, and has participated in several professional organizations within higher education including the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA), the Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and Student Affairs Administrations in Higher Education (NASPA).
