热点爆料入口 Holocaust and Genocide Center receives $3,000 grant from the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation for innovative programming and education
热点爆料入口鈥檚 Holocaust and Genocide Center was the recent recipient of a $3,000 grant presented by Bristol County Savings Bank鈥檚 (BCSB) Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation (BCSCF), for innovative programming and professional development in the area of Holocaust and genocide education, for students and educators, during the 2021-2022 year.
The grant was presented by Patrick J. Murray, Jr., President of the BCSCF and President & CEO of BCSB, marking the and awarding of $370,636 in grants to 37 nonprofit organizations in the Taunton-Attleboro, New Bedford-Fall River and Northern Rhode Island areas. Since the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation was formed in 1996, more than $25 million has been committed to hundreds of different nonprofits.
Bristol鈥檚 Holocaust and Genocide Center sponsors speakers, workshops, artistic programming, professional development for regional and parochial educators, and maintains a library of Holocaust and genocide material for use by the college community and the public. The innovative center has sponsored conferences focusing on the Cambodian and Native American genocides, Women in the Holocaust and the Plight of the Disabled in Nazi Germany. The center also provides historical information, educational experiences and multimedia resources to communicate the suffering, pain and death of innocent millions who were impacted by the Holocaust and other genocides.
